Kings surrender to Royals in IPL2020

Punjab put forth a massive target of 224 runs at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, with a 183-run partnership between Agarwal and skipper Rahul where Mayank Agarwal alone pulled off 106, Punjab’s victory seemed clear in sight until Sanju Samson pulled off 85 runs, Rahul Tewatia 53 runs and Steven Smith 50 runs dominating the match with a thrilling performance. Punjab tried its level best to pull down the Royals with Sheldon Cottrell removing Jos Buttler at 4. But Royals seemed determined to win, they did not bow down to young spinners like Ravi Bishnoi and James Neesham and were 92 in just 8 overs. Tewatia took a while to warm up on the field and all seemed in vain for Royals but Samson held the ropes and hit three sixes in just one Glenn Maxwell over. Later gaining momentum Tewatia further covered the gap by hitting five massive sixes off Cottrell's over, Victory seemed in sight when Tom Curran later carried Royals swiftly towards the finish line.
