Marnus Labuschagne is prepared to play a key role in the WTC Final

Labuschagne leads Australia to its maiden World Championship victory in south London, and he enters the one-off match 32 points ahead of the field at the top of the ICC MRF Tyres Batting Rankings. In the most recent Border-Gavaskar Trophy series against India in the subcontinent, the Australia No. 3 only achieved one half-century; this time around, she hopes to do better.

Labuschagne has spent the previous two months in Europe getting acclimated for the World Test Championship Final and next Ashes series with a stint at English County club Glamorgan, while many of his colleagues stayed in Asia to participate in the Indian Premier League. When he scored two hundreds and 504 runs overall from eight innings with the Welsh County team, Labuschagne appeared to be in excellent shape. He is convinced that his time with Glamorgan will help him reach his best form in the upcoming months.
