Mitchell Santner has been retained in the team

On Monday, New Zealand Cricket confirmed that Mitchell Santner, spinner, has been retained in the team.  He is perpetuated for the upcoming two-match Test series against Pakistan. These matches are starting from 26 December.

New Zealand will fight for a spot in the inaugural ICC World Test Championship final. This is set to be played in June next year. The first task for the 13-player team is the epochal Boxing Day Test. For the first time, it will be hosted at Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui. That too on January 3, before the New Year's Test at Hagley Oval in Christchurch.

Kane Williamson's men placed just behind India in third on the WTC points table, following a 2-0 triumph over the West Indies this month and India prior this year.
