Mumbai Indians defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru by seven wickets

After Jasprit Bumrah claimed an incredible 5-21, Shan Kishan and Suryakumar displayed a masterful display of power hitting as they raced to half-centuries as the Mumbai Indians defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru by seven wickets with 27 balls remaining in the Indian Premier League 2024 on Thursday.

After Bumrah had helped them restrict RCB to 196/8 in 20 overs despite outstanding half-centuries by Faf du Plessis, Rajat Patidar, and Dinesh Karthik, Kishan blasted a 23-ball half-century on his way to a 34-ball 69, raising 72 runs in the power-play and putting on a century partnership with Rohit Sharma (38). Yadav stormed to a 17-ball fifty, the second fastest this season, as Mumbai Indians raced to 199/3 in 15.3 overs. Mumbai Indians, along with Punjab Kings, are the only team to have successfully pursued a target of 190 or more points nine times.
