Nepal breaks T20 cricket records with a victory against Mongolia

At the age of 19 years and 206 days, Kushal Malla became the second youngest hitter to achieve a T20 century. Whilst also being the anchor for Nepal which became the first men's cricket team in history to score more than 300 runs in a T20 international when they defeated Mongolia at the Asian Games.

Nepal thrashed 314 for three in 20 overs in Hangzhou on Wednesday, breaking Afghanistan's previous best of 278 for three against Ireland in 2019. Malla, batting at three, led the charge, scoring the quickest T20 international century in 34 balls. Dipendra Singh Airee batted next, finishing the innings in an outrageous manner against the weak Mongolian bowlers, striking eight sixes in an undefeated 52 off only ten balls. He hit 50 off nine balls, breaking Yuvraj Singh's previous world record of 12 balls set against England in 2007.
