Indian all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy has addressed rumours about leaving Sunrisers Hyderabad ahead of the IPL 2026 auction. Reports claimed Reddy was unhappy with his role at SRH and wanted a new start, but he clarified on X: “My connection with SRH is built on trust, respect, and years of shared passion. I’ll always stand by this team.” Reddy was retained for ₹6 crore ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction.
He had a strong 2024 season with 303 runs and 3 wickets in 13 matches but couldn’t replicate that form in 2025, scoring just 182 runs. India Today reported that Reddy wanted to bat at No.4 in 2025, and SRH agreed initially. However, pitch conditions led to Heinrich Klaasen being promoted, forcing Reddy down the order. Despite the dip in form and role concerns, he has reaffirmed his commitment to SRH.
