Sri Lanka was hit with more bad news right before the second test match with India. The team would have to rule out Pathum Nissanka from the squad after he picked up a back injury before the Bangalore match. The team was already without Dushmantha Chameera who is recovering from an ankle injury, he even missed the first Test match at Mohali where Sri Lanka lost in a very embarrassing fashion to team India.
Nissanka’s absence would be a problem for the team as he was among the few players who performed well in the first test hitting an unbeaten 61 to be the top scorer for the team. Chameera is expected to be back in action as he would take part in IPL with Lucknow Super Giants, who paid INR 2 crore for his services this season.
