Rajasthan Royals defeated Punjab Kings by four wickets

In the Indian Premier League, Rajasthan Royals defeated Punjab Kings by four wickets to maintain their tenuous play-off chances. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Devdutt Padikkal both smacked rapid fifty-sixes in the 188-run chase, while Shimron Hetmyer scored 46 and impact sub Dhruv Jurel (10 not out) clinched the victory for RR with a six with two balls remaining. The victory kept RR in the running, but other games' outcomes will also determine their destiny.

On the other hand, PBKS lost the competition. Earlier, PBKS, which was given the opportunity to bat, recorded a respectable 187 for five. Sam Curran (49 not out) and Jitesh Sharma (44 off 28) scored 64 runs for the fifth wicket to give the innings some traction after PBKS lost wickets at regular intervals and slipped to 50 for 4 in the seventh over.
