Rishabh Pant eyes early comeback following injury recovery

Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant expressed optimism regarding an early return to competitive cricket, confirming his recovery is progressing well. Pant has been sidelined since January 10 after suffering a painful right-sided internal oblique muscle tear during practice. Speaking at the World Pickleball League, where he co-owns Mumbai Pickle Power, the 28-year-old discussed his rehabilitation at Bengaluru’s BCCI Centre of Excellence. He noted that his fitness is improving daily, bringing him closer to an on-field comeback.

Pant highlighted the importance of staying mentally connected to cricket, citing his love for the game and external support as crucial motivators during these tough times. He views this break as a chance for professional reflection and growth, aiming to enhance his overall gameplay. Pant remarked that injuries teach gratitude and shift one’s perspective on life. Ultimately, he admitted missing the sheer joy of competing at the top level, fueling his determination to return soon.
