Pakistan defeated Namibia by 45 runs on Tuesday in Abu Dhabi. With Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan playing an unbeaten knock of 79 off 50 deliveries and Babar Azam scoring 70 in 49 balls, to become the second team after England to reach the Twenty20 World Cup semifinals. It was Rizwan’s 23rd Twenty20 international fifty as Pakistan won the toss and chose to bat first putting up a score of 189-2 in their 20 overs.
Namibia’s chase was limited to 144-5 in 20 overs against the Pakistani bowlers, from Namibia’s batting lineup only two stars put up a decent score with David Wiese notching 43 not out and Craig Williams hitting 40. This is Pakistan’s fifth semi-final in Twenty20 World Cup history.
