Royal Challengers Bangalore beat Kolkata Knight Riders to seize their third win

Virat Kohli's Royal Challengers Bangalore batted first to set a score of 204 for four with Glenn Maxwell and AB de Villiers’s power full hits and both ended up with a score of 78 and 76 respectively to lead the team to their third consecutive win of the tournament by beating Kolkata Knight Riders by 38 runs in the Indian Premier League.

The Kohli-led team later restricted the Eoin Morgan-led team to 166-8 in Chennai and going strong for their maiden IPL title. Kolkata’s chase looked impossible right at the start and they regularly lost wickets until Morgan and Russell stuck their ground to score 29 and 31 runs but New Zealand fast bowler Kyle Jamieson wreaked havoc on the batting order later taking three wickets with Harshal Patel and Yuzvendra Chahal taking two each.
