Shadab Khan, Pakistan's all-rounder will miss the first Test against New Zealand. It is because he has been averted due to a thigh injury. The Test series against Black Caps begins with a Boxing Day contest. It is held at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui.
Earlier, Shadab had skipped the white-ball series against Zimbabwe. It was due to his groin injury. But, with God's grace, he had recouped in time for the New Zealand tour. His problem built up during a Christchurch tour game. Nonetheless, he was cleared to lead Pakistan in the T20I series against the Kiwis.
According to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Shadab has lamented about the pain in his left thigh. So, he won’t be available for selection. That too, for at least seven more days. In place of Shadab, Zafar Gohar, the left-arm spinner, has been included in the team.
