South Africa get back into game by restricting India to 198

On Day three of the third and final Test match between South Africa and India, Proteas ended India’s second session early at 198 runs and set a target of 212 runs for themselves for the next two days. For a while, it looked like India would last longer on the field with Rishabh Pant’s crucial half-century and Virat Kohli’s efforts as they led Team India to 130 for four at lunch. Later on, Pant went on to score an unbeaten sensational ton for the team. The wicketkeeper-batter scored his fourth century in Test cricket as he saw his partners leave the field in quick succession.

His unbeaten ton in 133-ball included six fours and four sixes. His 94-run stand in 179 balls with skipper Virat Kohli was crucial to the match as India stayed put until Ngidi brought Proteas back in the game with his three wickets haul and once again Indian batters did not have an answer for Marco Jansen who grabbed four wickets giving away 36 runs.
