Proteas started off well with 81 runs off the first 8 overs but trailed off in the end with 85 from the next 12 overs to post a total of 166 with the loss of seven wickets. Proteas faced West Indies in the second Twenty20 international match in St George’s, Grenada on Sunday after losing the first match of the five-match series earlier. South African spinners Tabraiz Shamsi and George Linde defended the 167 target well as they restricted West Indies to 150-9 to secure a 16 run win for South Africa.
Shamsi posted 1-16 in his four overs while Linde recorded 2-19 as they avenged their loss in the first match where West Indies cruised to an eight-wicket win with 30 balls to spare. The next match is scheduled for Tuesday at the same venue.
