Lahiru Thirimanne led Sri Lanka's comeback on Day 2 of test 2 against the West Indies on Tuesday by scoring 55 points to help them post 136-3 at the end after the team dismissed Indies for 354 in their first inning. When both the teams resume play on Wednesday the hope is Sri Lanka continues to play well with Dinesh Chandimal (34) and Dhananjaya de Silva (23) on the field.
West Indies captain Kraigg Brathwaite helped the team in posting a good score with his century and Rahkeem Cornwall also scored 73 runs for the hosts entering at number nine but was bowled out by lunchtime on day two. Giant spinner Cornwall did well to end the 103-run partnership and Dushmantha Chameera dismissed the captain in the end for 126. Their first test match ended in a draw last week.
