Yuzvendra Chahal has opened up on his emotions about the World Cup

When Axar Patel's quadriceps issue caused him to be forced out of the competition, Chahal was not even given a chance to replace him in the 15-man preliminary team. While it is normal for any player to be disappointed, Yuzvendra Chahal asserted that he was accustomed to being overlooked after failing to participate in either of India's previous two appearances in the T20 World Cup. 

Currently competing for Kent in the County Championship, Yuzvendra Chahal believes it was the right decision for him at this time. Yuzvendra Chahal is aware that in order to make the team, he may have had to outperform players like Kuldeep Yadav and Ravichandran Ashwin, who are also close friends of his off-the-field. Yuzvendra Chahal is hopeful that India will win the World Cup at home and added: “The main goal is that India should win, because this is not an individual game.
