Motorsport legend Kimi Raikkonen retired from Formula 1, but old habits die hard. You can take the man out of motor racing, but you cannot take motor sporting out of the man. Kimi is all riled up to return to motor racing as he signs up for NASCAR. He is due to make his NASCAR Cup Series debut this weekend.
He retired to spend more time with his family, however, it is evident that he never really gave up on his lifelong passion. The 2007 F1 World Champion still strives for speed as he gears up for an amazing race at Watkins Glen with Trackhouse Racing. Denny Hamlin, the prime contestant against Raikkonen, has already made a rather confident remark on his contender.
“... As far as being a contender to race for the win, I don’t think that’s a possibility,” comments Hamlin on Raikkonen’s shot at Watkins Glen.
