AC Milan defeats Roma 2-1

The action-packed match saw AC Milan beat Roma with a strong comeback but they were victorious eventually by 2-1 on Sunday in Serie A. Milan took an early lead with Franck Kessie’s penalty that was found at the back of the net but Roma answered with Jordan Veretout shooting one for his team until Ante Rebic broke the deadlock by scoring the winner for Milan past Roma goalkeeper Pau Lopez.

The intense fight took place at Stadio Olimpico as Stefano Pioli's side moves ahead with the purpose to win the title for the first time since 2011. Milan star Zlatan Ibrahimovic was off his form during the night and hence did not appear on the scoresheet instead found himself on the substitute list and Croatia international Rebic scored a goal soon after that.
