AC Milan stayed on Inter Milan’s heels as they bagged all three points from their 3-1 win in the match against Roma on Thursday. Out of the 10 matches that were scheduled for the day only six could successfully take place because of the pandemic.
Stefano Pioli’s side first saw two goals from Olivier Giroud and Junior Messias within 17 minutes of the match then a late goal by Rafael Leao sealed their win as Roma could only break through Milan’s defense just once when Tammy Abraham scored in the first half at San Siro. Rossoneri missed Simon Kjaer and Fikayo Tomori from the lineup but did not let it showcase that on the field as they kept putting pressure on Roma and walked away with all three points.
