AC Milan thrashes Cagliari 4-1 at San Siro

Stefano Pioli’s men had a great start on home ground for the 2021/22 Serie A season. Milan returned home on Sunday to deliver yet another master class performance in front of their fans as they ended with a 4-1 win over Cagliari. It was an eventful first half as all the four goals rained down one after another as AC Milan built an unassailable lead.

First Sandro Tonali’s free-kick beat the keeper near the post and Rafael Leao pushed in the second goal at the 17th minute. Diaz a few minutes later set up Olivier Giroud who scored his first competitive goal for Milan and before the first half he even converted the penalty at 43rd minute and set up Milan for 4-1. Alessandro Florenzi even pulled one back at the 15th minute and now Milan head to the international break with two wins.
