Alex Moreno of Aston Villa has returned to training after recovering from injury

The left-back, Alex Moreno of Aston Villa has been out since sustaining a hamstring injury in May, but he is now ready to return. Moreno made 19 Premier League games after joining for £13 million from Real Betis in January, becoming manager Unai Emery's first acquisition, and established himself as a regular starter before his injury.

He will now compete with Lucas Digne, who has had a fairly great start to the season, while also providing Emery with another option at the back. Villa also hopes to welcome back Jacob Ramsey in the coming weeks, as the midfielder is nearing the end of his recuperation from a foot injury suffered while playing for England under-21s last summer. Also, with a hamstring issue, defender Diego Carlos is doubtful for Crystal Palace's visit next Saturday.
