Antoine Griezmann’s late winner helped Barca finish third

Barcelona found a later winner in Antoine Griezmann’s acrobatic goal at the end to finish 1-0 against Eibar in the final match of the LaLiga season. Barcelona still could not beat Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid at the top after their three-game winless run that put them out of the title run early and kept the pressure on Ronald Koeman. Catalans struggled against the relegated side still without rested skipper Lionel Messi.

Griezmann then fired nine minutes from time and helped Barca finish third ahead of Sevilla's meeting with Deportivo Alaves. The home team looked like might break the deadlock first with Sergi Enrich’s attempt which was a block at the end, Kike Garcia also threatened but Neto saved the goal. In the second half Barca looked strong with Ousmane Dembele dancing with three defenders to attempt a shot but missed the target instead. Catalans finished with 79 points their lowest since 2007-08.
