Arsenal’s win couldn’t help them secure a place in the Premier League. The visiting fans were relieved after escaping relegation and were rejoicing after Liverpool missed out on the title. Arsenal played strongly throughout the game with a 2-1 lead with the goals of Eddie Nketiah and Martinelli.
Further, in the second half, Arsenal’s Cedric Soares, Gabriel Magalhaes, and Martin Odegaard netted a goal each taking their side to victory. However, Arsenal stayed at the fifth spot even after winning against Everton. Coach Frank Lampard made six changes to Everton and it was evident as his side was overrun for most of the game. It was 2-0 four minutes later when Nketiah nodded in a flicked-on corner but Everton’s Van de Beek netted a shot for the team.
