Arsenal interested in the excellent form of Kai Havertz

It's reasonable to assume that the German international took some time to settle in at the Emirates after the Gunners paid Chelsea £65 million to recruit him last summer. Under Mikel Arteta, Havertz appears to have finally turned the corner, as seen by his five goals and four assists in his previous seven Premier League appearances. Although Toney was formerly regarded to be Arsenal's top priority, a move for him seems less probable, according to The Mirror, as the club continues to search for a new striker for the summer.

"The profile of forward they are looking for is now different," according to the report, and they are unwilling to meet Brentford's demands for their talisman's price. After serving his sentence, Toney—who is regarded as one of the Premier League's top strikers—has netted four goals in 13 league appearances. The England international is being watched by many elite teams, but it appears Arsenal will focus on other prospects.
