Arsenal completed the signing of right-back Takehiro Tomiyasu from Bologna in the summer. After witnessing his performance at Emirates Stadium the Gunners are going after his former teammate Mattias Svanberg this summer. The Bologna player has been impressive this season in Serie A.
Mikel Arteta had to persuade Tomiyasu to join the team that was firmly placed at the bottom of the Premier League table, but thereafter Arsenal’s form improved and they cracked their way into the Top 5 soon after Tomiyasu’s arrival, Arsenal has maintained their unbeaten eight-match run. In the winter transfer session, Gunners can repeat Takehiro Tomiyasu masterstroke with transfer target Svanberg who is also being targeted by Inter Milan, AC Milan and Napoli.
