Aston Villa a 3-3 draw against Liverpool

Aston Villa came back from a 3-1 deficit to tie 3-3 with Liverpool at Villa Park, thanks to a thrilling late double from substitute Jhon Duran. This puts Aston Villa one step closer to earning UEFA Champions League football the following season. Emiliano Martinez gave the visiting Merseysiders an early lead in minute two when he cleverly fumbled Harvey Elliott's deflected cross into his own net.

Ten minutes later, Villa tied the score against the run of play thanks to a goal from Ollie Watkins that set up Youri Tielemans. On the twenty-third minute, Cody Gakpo snatched up a rebound to give Liverpool the lead again. The only surprise was that there weren't any more goals before halftime, even though Diego Carlos came dangerously close to scoring a second goal for Villa with what will likely go down as the season's worst mistake.
