Aston Villa inflicted more damage on Leeds United, as the club now sports a record-equalling sixth back-to-back league defeat after Steven Gerrard's side posted a 3-0 win at Elland Road. Philippe Coutinho's deflected shot gave Villa their first goal then in the second half Matty Cash and Calum Chambers scored the last two goals for the team and the 9th placed team posted their third straight Premier League win.
The loss left head coach Jesse Marsch waiting for his first home game win in the league as the team hovers over the relegation zone with a mere two-point lead. Leeds are in more trouble than that as Everton and Burnley the teams right below them have three and two games in hand respectively
