Atalanta and Inter Milan share the spoils

Atalanta managed to hold back the defending champions, Inter Milan, and solidified their hopes for the Serie A title. Inter’s eight-match winning streak ended with the goalless draw giving AC Milan a real chance to steal the top spot. It was a well-fought battle in Bergamo but unfortunately, the scoresheet remained blank. Both sides put on a crafty show taking turns to create opportunities but goalkeepers Juan Musso and Samir Handanovic’s excellent work helped both side share the spoils.

Simone Inzaghi’s side still occupies the top spot but their local rivals are just two points behind. Atalanta is fourth on the table eight points behind. Mario Pasalic and Danilo D’Ambrosio both wasted opportunities to score for the team but settled for a draw instead.
