Atletico Madrid ruins AC Milan’s CL homecoming

Luis Suarez found a late winner in the Champions League to hand Atletico Madrid a win that spoiled AC Milan’s CL homecoming at San Siro. The Uruguayan striker takes Stefano Pioli’s side to six points on level with Liverpool with a late winner at 97th minute. AC Milan was pushing for a win right from the start, Rafael Leao found the back of the net at the 20th minute which was met by cheers of the fans in the background as Rossoneri was making a comeback after seven years. But, Antoine Griezmann then leveled the score six minutes from time and Suarez came back to finish the job.

Atleti won by 2-1 and took away the opportunity for AC Milan to earn a point in Group B, this boosts Liverpool’s chances to qualify for the knock-out stage.
