Barca to finish outside top two for first time in 13 years

The poor end to the season by Ronald Koeman's men will lead to Barca's lowest league position in more than a decade.

Barca will end the season where they have been for most of the season. Third position, behind Atletico and Real Madrid, is probably a fair reflection of how they have played this season. Despite having outside title hopes, they fell away towards the end.

Whether they finish third or fourth (depending on what happens against Eibar), it will be Barca's worst league position since Frank Rijkaard's last season at the club 13 years ago. Since then, Barca have never come lower than second and won the league several times. In 2020-21, they did not even come close.
