Barcelona could offer Lionel Messi 30 million euros contract

Barcelona board is planning to offer  Lionel Messi a 30 million euros contract per season under the conditions of the new contract though it would be more than a 50 percent reduction from his older deal. The star’s current contract with Barca expires by 30th of June this year and his future is still uncertain. The player has stated he would make the decision at the end of the season and would consider what president Joan Laporta and his board bring to the table.

His decision could also be dependent on how Barcelona finishes this season in  La Liga as well as the upcoming Copa del Rey final. Only eight more games are remaining for the Spanish giants to make a run for the title. Last season his decision to leave had shook the whole community but the Argentine decided to stay with the club for one more season and the financial burden brought in by pandemic is bound to affect his wages.
