Bayern Munich ends Barcelona’s Champions League campaign early

Barcelona struggled against Bayern Munich in the Champions League matchup which was a do-or-die situation for Barca. But the German side did not have mercy on the La Liga giants who have been relegated to the Europa League, and after they finished third in their group and missed out on the Last 16 stage for the first time in two decades.

Bayern Munich defeated Barca by 3-0 in the final group stage match as the side sinks to a new low in 21 years. Things are not looking good for Barcelona in the domestic league as well where they are seventh on the La Liga table and sit outside of European qualification for the next season altogether. Barcelona would now play alongside RB Leipzig, Porto, Borussia Dortmund, Sheriff Tiraspol, Sevilla, and Zenit Saint Petersburg to get their hands on what seems like the only trophy in front of them this season.
