Bayern Munich postpone hiring new coach until after Madrid clash

Bayern Munich sporting director Max Eberl said after the Bavarians' 2-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt that the official announcement of a new coach would have to wait until after Tuesday: "In the next two or three days, the focus will be solely on Real Madrid.

"In the next two or three days, the focus will be solely on Real. Christoph and I will try to finalise things in the background. But it looks like it won't be before the first leg against Real Madrid," he explained.

He was also asked about one of the favourites to take over at the Allianz Arena, Ralf Rangnick: "He is an exceptional coach and someone who has always been on our list" .
