Borussia Dortmund thrashed Celtic 7-1

Borussia Dortmund defeated Celtic 7-1 at home on Tuesday, a crushing Champions League reality check brought on by three goals from Karim Adeyemi in the first half. Celtic had won eight of their previous eight games in Scotland and Europe going into the game, but they were completely outclassed in Germany, with Dortmund leading 5-1 at the break. By that point, Adeyemi had already scored three goals and gained another penalty kick, which Serhou Guirassy had converted, while Emre Can had opened the score from the penalty spot.

Adeyemi was a continual menace for the home team, appearing everywhere on the field to trick the Celtic defense. Three minutes into the second half, the Germany attacker was substituted, but Guirassy's outstanding solo goal and Felix Nmecha's late goal denied the visitors any relief.
