Bundesliga : Bayern 2-1 win at Cologne, RB Leipzig 0-1 Moenchengladbach

Bayern Munich, CHAMPIONS LEAGUE WINNERS went top of the Bundesliga on Saturday. This is because Serge Gnabry and Thomas Müller provided the goals without Robert Lewandowski. And finally, they rested for their 2-1 win at Cologne.

Hansi Flick, Bayern coach chose to leave out Lewandowski. Even though he was the one who scored a record 10 goals in the opening five league games. It was ahead of their  Bundesliga showdown at Dortmund next Saturday and also their midweek Champions League match at Salzburg. Müller earned an early penalty.  Gnabry did wonders by finishing a counter-attack on the stroke of half-time. This move left Bayern 2-0 up at the break. RB Leipzig slipped the chance to return to the top of the table. Not only this, it got more miserable as their week proceeded with a 1-0 loss at Borussia Moenchengladbach on Saturday evening.
