Burnley stunned Wolves to a clean win and boost their chances of survival this season. Chris Wood scored his first hat-trick for Burnley and slumped Wolverhampton for 4-0 and boosted themselves nine points clear of the Premier League relegation zone. Burnley was more powerful than Wolverhampton Wanderers, who put on a bad defensive front at Molineux.
Wood was a top scorer for the team and was the first New Zealand player to score a Premier League hat-trick. Sean Dyche’s team is 14th on the table and is 9 points clear of 18th-placed Fulham, and has five matches left in the league. Burnley opened first at the 15th minute and doubled the lead 6 minutes later. Before halftime itself, Wood completed his hat trick with a header from a floated McNeil corner.
