Cadiz conceded late in the match to draw 2-2 with Espanyol

Facing Espanyol at Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla in La Liga on Tuesday, Cadiz had built an early lead in the match but ended up giving away the two points when they conceded with a last-minute equalizer by Raul de Tomas. Cadiz had fought from one goal down to enjoy a lead but Espanyol fought hard and was rewarded with a 96th-minute goal to make the score 2-2.

Manu Morlanes opened the score for Espanyol then Alvaro Negredo leveled the score in the second half before that he also saw one of his goals being disallowed by VAR. Negredo’s efforts then paid off when he assisted Ivan Alejo to score what should have been the match-winning goal but the eleventh-placed side fought hard and got their hands on one point to climb closer to Barcelona and the sixth spot.
