As reported by Christian Falk, the midfield maestro wishes to leave B04 next summer in order to compete for titles elsewhere, challenge for the Champions League, and possibly be in the position to win the Ballon d’or.
Leverkusen will be demanding upwards of €150m for Wirtz in the summer of 2025, although it wouldn’t be surprising to see him go for somewhere just over the €100m mark.
If Arsenal are to secure the signing on Wirtz, they’re going to have to compete with the likes of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Manchester City.
However, Arsenal aren’t quite there yet which is why this season is crucial for them if they want to attract the next world talent. This is a big season for Arsenal. Not just for their fans and the prospect of winning a major trophy, but for attracting the next generational talents.
