Celta Vigo defeated Almeria thanks to a late Swedberg goal

Celta Vigo defeated Almeria 3-2 in the 87th minute thanks to Willie Swedberg's goal. After Unai Nunez and Jorgen Strand Larsen gave Celta a 2-0 lead before halftime, the 19-year-old Swedish midfielder netted the winner with a late header. In the second half, Sergio Akieme and Sergio Arribas equalized for the hosts. But Celta came into the fourth round with two losses and a tie under Rafa Benitez.

Almeria stayed winless and suffered their third defeat in four games. They remained second-to-last and were on the verge of falling to the bottom of the rankings at the weekend. Meanwhile, Cadiz earned their second win and moved closer to the top of the table after coming from behind to upset 10-man Villarreal 3-1 at home, thanks to a pair from Darwin Machis.
