Celtic beat rivals Rangers to win League Cup

Celtic won the Scottish League Cup on Sunday, beating great rivals Rangers (2-1) in the final played at Hampden Park, in Glasgow. Kyogo Furuhashi was the main character of the meeting.

The Japanese striker scored the two goals that earned Celtic the title. First, he opened the scoring after half-time, in the 44th minute, and then scored twice in the 56th minute.

For his part, Colombian Alfredo Morelos reduced the disadvantage in the 64th minute, but Rangers' reaction turned out to be insufficient to take the final to, at least, extra time.

It should be noted that Jota was in the starting line-up and left in the 64th minute, giving way to Liel Abada.

After all, Celtic again won a trophy that it had already won last season, adding 21 League Cups.
