Champions League: AC Milan would end the seven year drought at Anfield

The Champions League campaign would kick off soon and the opening match of AC Milan and Liverpool would end the seven-year-long wait by the Rossoneri. But this would be the first time both the teams would meet after Reds and Rossoneri met in Istanbul in 2005 where Liverpool pulled off a big win, they came back from three goals down to win the match, two years later Milan avenged their defeat in Athens and since then both the teams have been in the slumps.

Until recently Liverpool made a comeback to the center stage winning one of the two CL finals. Meanwhile, Milan might not have achieved the same feat but remain in form. With stars like Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Franck Kessie on their side along with the young energy of Sandro Tonali, Rafael Leao, and Brahim Diazm Milan cannot truly be considered the weaker of the lot.
