Real Madrid released a statement yesterday saying superstar Sergio Ramos would be leaving the club soon with the contract set to expire at the end of the season. After spending 16 years with the Los Blancos and setting the club record as all-time top appearance maker the 35-year-old is ready to depart from the club in search of new opportunities. The veteran still has a competitive edge but would not be moving to MLS, Qatar,or China which is usually the move players late in their career.
Manchester United, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain have all expressed their interest in signing Ramos though the player’s intentions remains unclear at this point. Red Devils would employ him alongside Harry Maguire and strengthen at the back. City is blessed with young talent but could use an experienced player in their squad. With the French side, he would form a centre-back partnership with Presnel Kimpembe if in case he accepts a deal.
