City thrashes Liverpool 4-1

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp might be chasing top four positions rather than the title this season after Manchester City defeat the defending champions 4-1 at Anfield and ruins the title chances by putting them 10 points behind them in Premier League. Champions League qualifications might now be a priority for them with Chelsea, West Ham, and Everton getting closer to the top four.

Klopp seemed to have the game in hand when they were tied 1-1 when Mohamed Salah converted a penalty and leveled the Ilkay Gundogan's lead but a mistake on part of Reds saw them concede more goals to City, they took advantage of their mistakes and scored with Gundogan and Raheem Sterling. Phil Foden later closed the match with the fourth goal leaving Reds to third consecutive home league defeat.
