Tottenham has sealed their fifth summer signing with Clement Lenglet. However, it is a season-long deal, without the choice of making it a permanent contract. The player has been a part of Barcelona and now will be a part of the Premier League club, which has already signed four summer signings prior to him. This includes Yves Bissouma, Fraser Forster, Richarlison and Ivan Perisic.
Last season, Lenglet was able to make only 7 starts for Barca in La Liga and was later taken down the line after Chelsea's Andreas Christensen was signed as a free agent. As for the loan deal made with the player, it doesn't seem to include a buying option. This means that the Spurs might make a comeback for the star next summer. Another potential target for the club is Djed Spence from Middlesbrough.
