Cristiano Ronaldo returns to goals and United triumphs in visit to Sheriff

Manchester United won, on Thursday, a victory at Sheriff's stronghold (2-0), in a match on the 2nd round of the Europa League group stage. Cristiano Ronaldo started for the second consecutive goal and made his debut in the 2022/23 season.

The red devils built the triumph in the first 45 minutes. Jadon Sancho opened the scoring in Moldova after just 17 minutes, while Ronaldo scored the second and final goal in Chisinau.

The Portuguese ace was called upon to convert a penalty and did not forgive at the 11-meter mark, thus scoring the first goal of this new season. Moreover, this was also the debut to score in the Europa League for Cristiano Ronaldo.
