De Burgos Bengoetxea to referee El Clasico

La Liga matchday 26 kicks off on Friday with Valladolid-Athletic. However, the game that will grab all the attention will be played on Sunday at 21:00 CET. On that day, Barcelona and Real Madrid, first and second in LaLiga respectively, will meet at the Camp Nou.

The Spanish Football Federation announced on Thursday the name of the referee who will referee 'El Clasico'. Ricardo de Burgos Bengoetxea, from the Basque Committee, has been appointed to referee the clash between 'Cules' and 'Merengues' on Sunday. Cesar Soto Grado, from the La Rioja Committee, will be the VAR.

This will be the third 'Clasico' refereed by De Burgos Bengoetxea. It will, however, be the first of these matches between the Catalan giants and 'Los Blancos' that he will referee in La Liga.
