Dortmund’s Youssoufa Moukoko becomes Germany’s youngest to score

Youssoufa Moukoko has penned his name down in history as the youngest German player to score in the Germany U-21s match against San Marino. Borussia Dortmund striker was part of the national team squad who claimed a 6-0 win against San Marino for the 2023 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifier. He proved his worth in the debut itself by scoring a brace and becomes the youngest player to score aged 16 years and 286 days.

He surpassed the record set by Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz who was 17 years and 159 days old when he was handed a debut for Germany U-21s. Moukoko would have made his debut even sooner had it not been for the ligament injury that delayed his start. Moukoko is also the youngest player to play in Bundesliga and UEFA Champions League.
