Flamengo have not given up on a deal to sign Lucas Paqueta 

On Sunday, July 14, the journalist who appears on Rubro News TV revealed via X that the Brazilian club is thinking of extending another offer to the Brazil international in an attempt to lure him away from East London. In an effort to improve their prospects of winning the talks and getting Paqueta's signature, Flamengo is looking at ways to make their offer more enticing to the Hammers.

After Julen Lopetegui's team rejected the Brazilian club's original offer, the offensive midfielder is still working to assist them clinch the deal for at least a year-long loan [Sean Whetstone, 4 July]. After being accused of breaking the FA's betting regulations, Paqueta faces the possibility of a significant lifetime suspension from football, which might affect him whether or not West Ham signs him this summer.
