Genoa has made a move for Juventus striker Arkadiusz Milik, but he is still focused on getting into Thiago Motta's starting lineup. The 30-year-old completed a loan transfer from Olympique Marseille to join the Bianconeri in the summer of 2022. The Serie A powerhouses used their purchase option on him from last summer. Unfortunately, Motta was left out of the starting lineup along with Wojciech Szczesny, Federico Chiesa, and other Polish players after arriving in Turin.
These stars have not been included in the team for the club's preseason exhibition matches. Although Michele Di Gregorio has already taken Szczesny's place in the starting lineup, Milik may have some hope because the team hasn't yet found a replacement for Dusan Vlahovic. The club may not now prioritize acquiring a new backup striker as Christino Giuntoli and company are busy pursuing players like Teun Koopmeiners, Nicolas Gonzalez, and even a new defense.
