The club has fully authorised the trip, allowing the French forward to complete what is expected to be the last major deal of his distinguished career after years as a central figure in Atlético’s modern era.

Griezmann will still finish the current campaign in Spain, aiming to help Atlético compete for the Copa del Rey and, if possible, make a deep run in the Champions League before joining Major League Soccer next season.
